She spent 5 years in Maine before coming back to Oregon and attending Blue Mountain Community College where she received her LPN. “I was lucky to able to work at Tuality Community Hospital for two years, where I was able to gain a lot of knowledge about medical surgery and medical surgery ortho.”
In the Fall of 2020, Rachel moved to Burns to be closer to her family and was brought on as the LPN for The Aspens in March of 2021.
Rachel loves to come to work, take care of the residents and bring a smile to their lives.
The inspiration, development and ownership of The Aspens is thanks to a group of insightful and dedicated local citizens and community leaders who govern a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization, Harney Pioneer Homes, Inc. Their mission is to improve affordable housing options for senior and disabled adults in Harney County. It is a dream come true for residents of Harney County and one in which the entire community can be proud.
